I built alot of friendships with our customers and employees. There are other lakes close by and even a casino for those who want to have a little gambling action. I took a trip around the lake each morning- about an hour- and was able to meet a few locals and be surrounded by wildlife. So that was the hardest part of the job and kitchen management was very horrible and unproffesional! My most favorite part of my job was seeing the same customers enjoying themselves and enjoying our Restraunt. There are a couple of places on the lake to eat- nothing fancy but good food and good people. Well at an employee meeting we were told by you that customers were limited to 1 meal, one appetizer, and a dessert for each person to be comped. Hardest part of the job was being told by your kitchen manager what customers were limited to on Comps, then when customer complains cause they want 3 dinner meals for 2 people, your manager ask 'why did you not give them an extra meal'. Some of my co- workers were wonderful and some were not such productive workers. I learned how to handle money, close out the ending shift, process ending shift paperwork, prep salad bar, the safety temps for food, stocking, and cashiering. Chewelah has a beautiful park in the middle of town where you can stop and have a picnic.
My day always started off by beverage serving to our customers. Take it carefully through Chewelah, as it goes from 60 to 35 miles an hour down to 25, and they DO patrol and give tickets.
